Richard Batchelor believes the team spirit at Chasetown FC will help them through the spate of injuries which have hit the club.

Ever since striker Dean Perrow picked up his long term Achilles problem early in the season, the Scholars have seen the likes of Chris Slater, Danny Smith, Grant Ryan and Reece Styche pick up injuries.

But Chasetown have managed to shrug off their problems so far – and midfielder Batchelor believes the attitude in the dressing room is key.

He told The Lichfield Blog:

“We have had a lot of injuries but the players the manager is putting in are doing the job.

“The team sprit and morale is high at the moment and we’ve just got to keep turning up and picking up the results.”

Chasetown will be hoping to keep up their run of form when they travel to Lancaster City in the FA Trophy today (October 17).
