Chasetown's players celebrate

The Scholars started brightly but it was the hosts that drew first blood in the 16th minute.

Leamington broke into the box and keeper Curtis Pond conceded a spot kick. Josh March powered the penalty home.

Chasetown were reduced to ten men after 26 minutes with Alex Melbourne seeing red for a late challenge on Callum Gittings.

The Brakes were unable to make their man advantage count before the interval though, but straight after the restart Jack Edwards forced a superb diving save from Pond.

In the 56th minute, Leamington eventually stretched their lead.

The ten men got a lifeline in the 62nd minute when Danny Cocks was brought down for a penalty. George Cater fired past Jake Weaver to reduce the deficit.

The Scholars dramatically levelled in the 67th minute. Cocks won a corner and his set piece was floated in, with skipper Ryan Wynter heading beyond Weaver via a slight deflection.

Kaiman Anderson tested Pond with a long range effort as the hosts tried to re-assert their authority.

Leamington fans celebrated prematurely in the 80th minute as a header found its way past Pond but the flag was up for offside.

Superb defending from Chasetown kept it 2-2. First, Lewis Riley-Stewart blocked with his body and then Wynter cleared off the line from Gift Mussa.

Ravi Shamsi produced a long range volley at the start of five minutes of stoppage time but Pond flung himself to palm round for a corner.

Leamington had a last minute corner but Pond caught the ball confidently to confirm a Tuesday night replay.
