Three more Lichfield men have been charged in connection with an investigation into a nationwide online fraud.
They were arrested as part of the Staffordshire Police’s inquiry into fraud on the Gumtree classified advertisement websites.
A 20-year-old man has been charged with conspiracy to defraud and two men, aged 24 and 32, have been charged with money laundering. They have been bailed to appear before magistrates at Burton on October 20 along with four other people – two men and two women from Lichfield – who were charged at the end of September.
The charges relate to victims who allegedly failed to receive goods after paying for them on Gumtree.
