Violinist and group member Joanne Dodds has composed the Three Spires Suite, which features four movements depicting an element of the city’s history, including the Civil War siege of Lichfield Cathedral, the Lichfield Festival and Dr Johnson.

A spokesperson for the gorup said: “Lichfield Sinfonia members are keen musicians from all walks of life and of all ages.

“From its formation in 1957 the orchestra has played three public concerts each year, often with young professional soloists, and we are grateful for the support of our loyal followers.”

Tickets for the concert are available online.
