Thrill-seekers are being given a final chance to celebrate a ride at Drayton Manor before it changes forever.
Work to convert Shockwave from a stand up to a sit down rollercoaster is planned with the new-look set to be unveiled next year.
Now the theme park is offering riders a chance to take part in The Last Stand next month.
Participants will get a chance to enjoy an all-day fastpass for Shockwave as well as securing a piece of the rollercoaster with a certificate of authenticity.
There will also be special merchandise available as part of an overnight stay package at the park’s hotel.
A spokesperson said:
“Shockwave has been an incredibly important ride throughout the history of Drayton Manor, opening in 1994 and creating incredible memories for millions of riders over almost 30 years.
“We’re thrilled that these updates will allow new generations to enjoy the ride for years to come and we can’t wait to reveal more on these exciting plans in the coming months.
“To celebrate the history of Shockwave we’re giving you one last chance to experience this legendary ride in its current form at the ultimate rollercoaster party.”
