Tough Stamford test awaits resurgent Chasetown FC side
Published:

Chasetown FC will be hoping a midweek postponement doesn’t upset their run of good form.

The Scholars had won five games on the bounce before their clash with Leek Town was called off because of a frozen pitch.

But they will resume their attempt to gatecrash the play-off party in the Evo Stik Southern Premier when they travel to Stamford tomorrow (March 16).

The trip will be a tough test of the resurgent Scholars, as their hosts currently occupy second spot in the table. They will also be looking to bounce back from a 4-0 league defeat against Belper Town last time out.

Stamford have also been boosted by the arrival of midfielder Michael Rose on a one month loan from Rotherham United.

But Chasetown have hit their rich vein of form and seen top scorer Nick Wellecomme rediscover his shooting boots in recent fixtures.

Kick-off is at 3pm.
