A classic musical is coming to the Lichfield Garrick as the Trinity Players bring Singin’ in the Rain to the stage.
The Sutton Coldfield-based company will perform in the city from June 6 to 10.
Production director Jennifer Mears said the show would see the recreation of the iconic dance scene, complete with a rain machine.
“This is a classic musical of the Hollywood golden age and it is really exciting to be able to bring it to the stage,” she said. “Combining live performance with film excerpts, a youth cast, principal cast learning to tap dance for the first time and a real rain machine onstage is no mean feat, but the whole company is working so hard to bring it all together.
“I know it is going to be fantastic.”
