Two charged after man’s death in Burntwood

Two people have been charged after the death of a man in Burntwood.

TWO people have been charged after the death of a man in Burntwood.

Corey Magnus, 27 and of Burntwood – who is also known as John Solomon – has been charged with the murder of 32-year-old Sashon Richards-Brown.

Danielle Simpson, 33 and of Burntwood, has been charged with assisting an offender.

It comes after police were called to Hazel Grove just before 9am on 5th May following reports of people fighting.

A Staffordshire Police spokesperson said:

“Sashon, of no fixed abode, was found with significant injuries at the scene. Sadly, nothing could be done to save him and he was pronounced dead shortly after 10am.

“Specialist officers are continuing to support his family.

“A dog, who was taken to an emergency vet for treatment following the incident, remains in a serious condition.

“Magnus and Simpson are both due to appear at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre today (8th May).”
