The stars of yesteryear will be in focus in an illustrated talk at the Lichfield Garrick.

Duggie Chapman’s Thanks for the Memory show on November 10 examines variety stars from the 1930s and the 1940s.

A spokesperson said: “This show is a must for lovers of the theatre before the television era.

“Never before have Max Miller, Wilson Kepple and Betty, Lily Morris, The Billy Cotton Band, Nat Gonella, Issy Bonn, Charles Coburn, Gus Ellen, Norman Evans, The Western Brothers, Little Tich, Ella Shields, Teddy Brown, amongst others, appeared together in one show.”

Duggie Chapman will be at the theatre on November 10 from 2.30pm. Tickets cost £12 and can be booked online at www.lichfieldgarrick.com or by calling the box office on 01543 412121.
