A vigil for the victims of the terrorist attack in France will be held in Lichfield this weekend.
At least 84 people were killed during the incident in Nice.
The vigil at Lichfield Cathedral will take place at 6pm on Sunday (July 17).
It will be led by the Very Revd Adrian Dorber, Dean of Lichfield, who said: “Our world is turbulent and frightening just now. The terror attacks over the past few years have caused great grief and heartbreak for many people.
“We would like to pray for all those whose lives have been lost, and those who have lost loved ones. Our prayers, at the moment, are with Nice.
“Please join the vigil to express to express solidarity and support, compassion and hope.”
The Cathedral has also set up a candle station, where visitors can light a candle and write a prayer on one of the cards provided.
