Volunteers are being invited to roll up their sleeves at two conservation events taking place at Chasewater Country Park.
Burton Conservation Volunteers are joining forces with Lichfield District Council’s Countryside & Parks Conservation Group from 10.30am to 3pm on Sunday (October 14) and October 28.
The two days will see volunteers doing essential conservation work on Chasewater Country Park’s protected heathland habitats.
Justine Lloyd, Lichfield District Council’s Countryside Manager, said: “These two events are a great opportunity to give something back to the landscapes you love.
“Taking part in conservation days is a great way to meet new people and work as part of a team. We’ll spend the days cutting back scrub, which would otherwise chock our fragile heathland habitat.”
Both events will start from Chasewater Heath Station, which is off the A5190 roundabout on the west side of Burntwood.
