Supporters are being asked to help ensure Chasetown FC’s home game with Daventry Town doesn’t get beaten by the weather.
The Scholars say the pitch is currently playable, but with downpours predicted overnight the club expect a battle with the elements.
They have now appealed for volunteers to help prepare the playing surface tomorrow morning (January 9).
A spokesperson said: “Those willing to spare an hour or so should arrive at the ground for 9am ared with a garden fork and suitable footwear.
“It is hoped we can pull a team of volunteers together to help prepare and make sure the pitch is in pristine condition for the afternoon’s fixture.”
