Comedian Rob Beckett will provide the laughs on day four of the Lichfield Festival.
The star of Live at the Apollo and Mock the Week will tackle the big talking points – such as Kit Kats and flatbreads – at the Garrick from 8pm.
The remembrance theme for the festival will continue when school pupils from across the Midlands mark 100 years since the Battle of the Somme with songs and poetry from World War One at 10.30am at Lichfield Cathedral.
Young festival-goers will also be able to enjoy Small Worlds at The George Hotel, where a bug, fox cub, cat and girl combine for a family friendly tale at 10am, 11.30am and 1.30pm.
French choral delicacies will be on offer when I Fagiolini perform at Lichfield Cathedral from 7.30pm, while film fans can enjoy Dial M for Murder at the Garrick Studio at 8pm.
The young artist series continues at Wade Street Church with students from Chetham’s School of Music performing a programme of work from the likes of Beethoven, Schumann, Mozart and Tchaikovsky.
The third Lichfield Peace Lecture sees Mona Siddiqui OBE exploring the role of religions in dividing civilizations.
