The Cathedral’s Lady Chapel will kickstart the musical side of the Lichfield Festival today with a performance by Bartosz Woroch.
The Polish-born violinist will play solo works by Bach, Kreisler and Ysaye at 11am.
More music will be on offer at 11.45am when the Heath Quartet, winners of the 2013 Royal Philharmonic Society Young Artists Award, perform at the Swinfen Hall Hotel.
There’s another chance for Garrick Studio audiences to catch improv show The School of the Night at 8pm, while author Kate Mosse will be talking at the Lady Chapel at 6.30pm.
Professor Robert Winston will be giving the Lichfield Lecture in the Cathedral at 8.15pm.
The George Hotel will welcome historian Diarmid MacCulloch for a talk on Silence: A Christian History at 10am, before the same venue welcomes Peter Atkins for a scientific session at 11.45am.
The audience at the Lichfield Garrick will be in for a musical treat when Spiers & Boden take to the stage at 8pm.
