But Beacon’s middle and lower order failed to offer much resistance as they were eventually bowled out for 153.
Faizanullah Niazai was the pick of the visiting attack with figures of 4-45.
A couple of early wickets saw nerves jangle as Whittington were reduced to 27-2, but opener Shazad Malik top scored with 58 to help his side pass the total with four wickets in hand.
