A display at Lichfield Library is set to showcase the world of pens.
The free event on October 29 is being organised by The Writing Equipment Society.
A spokesperson said: “We are aiming to introduce young people to fountain pens, general writing equipment and the written word.
“There will be a display of vintage and modern writing instruments, a handwriting competition with a free Sheaffer fountain pen for every entrant, plus a fountain pen prize for the winner.”
The event will also feature pen repair sessions and advice on more complex restoration.
“The event is aimed at young people but parents and grandparents will be made really welcome,” the spokesperson added. “If you have any old writing equipment that you would like to know more about or valued then bring it along and get some free advice.”
The event is being held in Lichfield Library on Tuesday 29th. October. Entry for all is free
