Junior rugby players in Lichfield have been raising money for Children in Need.

The mini juniors from Lichfield RUFC enjoyed a charity face paint day and hog roast to raise money for the national appeal.
The event raised more than £260 and mini junior chair Darren Martin admitted he was delighted with the result.
“Lichfield RUFC is proud to be a part of raising funds within the community for such a great cause,” he said.
“It’s great that the mini junior section can support a children’s charity in this way, with the children themselves – with a little help from their parents – taking such an active role and having a lot of fun at the same time.”
The next social event at the Lichfield RUFC clubhouse is a horse racing night on Saturday (November 19) set up by the under 15’s to raise funds for their Spring 2012 tour in Spain.
