A Lichfield hairdressing business has been refused permission to keep its sign up.
DJ & Ward on Tamworth Street had applied to retain their signage board on the outside of the building.
However, Lichfield District Council planning chiefs refused permission after raising concerns about the impact it had on the historic building.
In their decision notice, they said: “The large sign board, by virtue of its design, size, materials and position, dominates the front elevation and adversely affects the character and appearance of the Grade II Listed Building on which it is displayed, the wider street scene and the character of Lichfield City Conservation Area.”
