Fundraising ball helps raise £195,000 for charities

A LICHFIELD business has helped organise a fundraising ball which has seen more than £195,000 raised for five charities.

The Midlands Construction Ball event took place at The Belfry on 11th September.

Organised by Lichfield's Tippers alongside EH Smith Builders Merchants, M Lambe Construction and Friel Homes, funds from the event will go to St Giles Hospice, Acorns Children's Hospice, Tabor Living, The Christy Lambe Foundation and The Lighthouse Charity – with each charity receiving £39,000.

A spokesperson said:

"More than simply a fundraising event, the Ball has become a fantastic celebration of the Midlands construction community and the relationships between independent and family-owned businesses, suppliers and manufacturers.

"The organisers would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who attended, sponsored, donated prizes and supported the evening. Their generosity was instrumental in achieving this year's record fundraising total.

"Following another hugely successful evening, plans will now turn towards the 2027 Midlands Construction Charity Ball, with sponsorship opportunities and ticket information available for businesses wishing to get involved."
