THE long trek to Yorkshire to take on Driffield proved to be worth it for Lichfield's women as they registered a first win of the campaign.
After their narrow defeat to league favourites Cheltenham on the opening day, the city side's bonus point triumph was the perfect pick-me-up.
Recently promoted Driffield kicked a first-minute penalty and scored their three converted tries by the 43rd minute.
But Lichfield remained calm and were able to confirm their superiority as the second half wore on.
Molly Draycott contributed two tries and all the successful kicks as her side eventually ran out 34-21 winners.
