PLANS for the change of use of an industrial unit in Fazeley to create a new padel tennis facility have been approved.
The proposals were drawn up for the site at Riverside Industrial Estate on Atherstone Street.
The facility will have 12 parking spaces for players to use.
A planning statement said:
"Given the popularity of the sport, there is a high demand for padel tennis facilities.
"Provision of padel court facilities will benefit the wider area through providing accessible physical activity opportunities for all age groups and enhancing existing recreational amenities without significant environment or noise impact.
"The intended opening hours are from 5am to 12am. The facilities will work on a booking basis and will be partially manned.
"The early and late hours will allow customers to play before and after work."
