Members of a knitting club have donated their creations to an animal charity.
Sixteen of the Armitage with Handsacre Knit and Natter group have been busy knitting blankets for the Border Collie Trust in Colton. lost or stray dogs.
Anne Ratcliffe and Wendy Lee presented 19 blankets to the charity, which looks after lost or stray dogs.
“We love being part of a knitting group as it’s a nice way to meet people and knitting to help a local charity is really rewarding,” Anne said. “We’re always keen to welcome more knitters, whatever their ability. We meet from 1pm to 3pm on alternate Thursdays at Handsacre Methodist Church’s meeting room.”
Ben Wilkes, from the Border Collie Trust, added: “We are grateful for all the help we receive from supporters. Visits with gifts from local groups such as the Knit and Natter Group are especially welcome.
“The dogs are enjoying their new blankets already.”
