Conservative duo Ben Rayner and Ian Pritchard have both already confirmed their intention not to stand again.

But documents seen by Lichfield Live reveal that a further nine will be ending their association with Lichfield District Council in May.

One Labour councillor is among the list, with the remaining elected members coming from the Conservative ranks.

It means that Lichfield and Burntwood will have at least 12 new councillors in May following the recent resignation of Conservative councillor Richard Mosson.

Prospective candidates for all parties will need to have registered to stand by 3rd April.
