THE bosses of a Lichfield pub say they have made the “difficult decision” to call last orders on their business.
The BitterSuite on Upper St John Street confirmed the closure of the St John Street venue in a post online.
The owners said the venue had shut last night (13th January).
“Unfortunately, the BitterSuite has become another casualty of the current economic climate and we have had to make the difficult decision to close.
“Though we are all sad, we have to say it’s been a pleasure to meet so many wonderful people and characters, most of whom have become firm friends.
“The whole team has thoroughly enjoyed our time meeting and serving you in our own unique way.
“Thanks for the memories everyone, they will stay with us always.”
The closure comes after a local village recently lost two of its pubs in less than a week.
