The hosts opted to bat first after winning the toss, but might have been ruing their decision when Aaron Afford was caught by Elliot Dowen off the bowling of Edward Turner after scoring just four.
Isharat Thaman was then skittled by Turner for a duck to leave his side on 20-2.
But Michael Astley and Rohit Thakur looked to have steadied the ship as they moved the score on to 87 before the latter became the third wicket to fall.
It sparked a collapse as Milford Hall went from 87-3 to 95-8.
Lichfield kept up the pressure as they looked to end the innings early – and they duly did so as they bowled out the hosts for 107.
Nick Richards was the pick of the attack with figures of 4-13.
The city men might have had nerves jangling though when the response started with openers Oliver Caddick and Adam Braddock back in the hutch with just 18 runs on the board.
When Harry Turley-Salmons followed in the seventh over, Lichfield might have been forgiven for starting to panic with the scoreboard reading 30-3.
But Ihsaan Nadeem and Rory Prentice steered their side home with unbeaten knocks of 43 and 44 respectively.
