Shopkeepers and residents in Burntwood are being invited to share their ideas about how retailers in the area could benefit from a £100,000 funding pot.
The Government cash has been awarded to Lichfield District Council and Cllr Steve Norman, leader of the Labour Group at the local authority, wants to make sure the town doesn’t miss out.
“We want businesses to claim their slice of funding for Burntwood with ideas on improving the ‘High Street’ with the Mary Portas project money.
“We want to help businesses from Chasetown, Chase Terrace and Burntwood to help the town and would invite them, and their customers, along to our surgeries.”
The Labour councillors will hold their surgery at Burntwood Library on Saturday morning (February 2) from 10am to 11am.
