A Burntwood car dealership has closed its doors after nearly 30 years of business.

The closed signs were put up at the Spot of Chasetown on Highfields Road last week.

No reasons have been given for the decision to close the Citroen dealership which opened in 1983.

The business began life selling Nissan vehicles before becoming a Fiat outlet two years after it opened. Spot became a Citroen dealership in 1991.

The company also sold petrol before switching to a core car repair and sales business.

No-one from Citroen or the Spot Group was available for comment about the closure.
