A BURNTWOOD man is stepping out to raise money for charity.
Ben Kirk will walk between his home and the SMH Group Stadium in Chesterfield.
Money raised from his challenge will help Ashgate Hospice and Macmillan Cancer Support.
Chesterfield fan Ben has previously taken park in charity walks and runs.
He said:
“My latest initiative is called Home to Home and is more than just a long distance walk – it’s a personal tribute and community event rolled into one.
“All of my family are from Chesterfield and I have family members who volunteer at Ashgate Hospice there or who have received end of life care from them.
“They have been a source of strength and support for our family over the years, while Macmillan Cancer Support were a vital support system for my partner’s family during their late grandad’s cancer journey. One year on from his passing, this cause carries special meaning.
“So I will walk from my home in Burntwood to my second home at Chesterfield Football Club.”
