Burntwood Development XV saw off Wheaton Aston 31-17 in a Merit Table match.
They started brightly scoring two tries, went off the boil and then rallied strongly in the second half to cross the line on three more occasions.
Matt Bray and Ben Poulton crossed prior to the break before Wheaton Aston came back into it with the first of their three tries.
It proved to be a match of contrasting styles with the visitors dominant at scrums and mauls but the hosts were on top in the rucks and general back play.
Jimmy Davies added direction to the side when he was introduced in the second half. Further tries came from Oliver Gripton and Poulton who completed a hat trick. Rob Jones converted three of the tries to complete the tally.
