A SHOP in Burntwood found to be selling illegal cigarettes and vapes will remain closed for a further three months.
American Candy was closed after enforcement action by Lichfield District Council, Staffordshire Trading Standards and Staffordshire Police.
Following an interim closure order issued on 19th December, magistrates at North Staffordshire Justice Centre last week supported an application for the premises to remain closed.
A closure order was granted for the maximum legal period of three months.
A Lichfield District Council spokesperson said:
“This action helps protect residents, support legitimate businesses and prevent the sale of illegal products in our communities.”
