A road in Lichfield could have parking restrictions introduced.
A meeting of Lichfield City Council’s planning committee will discuss a call from Cllr David Dundas for double yellow lines to be put on part of Curborough Road.
The proposal from the Conservative representative for Chadsmead ward would see restrictions introduced on the bend opposite Gaia Lane.
A report to the meeting tomorrow (April 7) said: “Vehicles are starting to be parked, usually half on the pavement.
“This is obstructing the view of traffic and forcing vehicles coming from Curborough to move towards the centre of the road, where traffic coming from the opposite direction is already in the centre of the road to pass vehicles that are usually parked along the south side of St Chads Road.
“This is a hazardous intersection and close to a school.”
The meeting will take place at the Guildhall at 6.30pm on Thursday.
