HAMMERWICH dug deep to secure a three-wicket home victory over Wolverhampton 2nds.
The hosts opted to send the visitors in to bat first, with Haider Pervaiz claiming the first wicket of the afternoon when he bowled Seth Bridgwood for six.
But the Hammers would have to wait to claim a second, with Wolverhampton reaching 92 before Callum Brodrick caught Amanjot Jaswal off the bowling of John Jennings.
Two quick wickets saw the visitors reduced to 112-4, but again they dug deep to move the score on to 200-6.
Wolverhampton's tail failed to wag though as they lost a further three wickets for just 11 more runs.
Pervaiz was the star with the ball as he claimed figures of 4-46.
The response saw Hammerwich struggle to build lengthy partnerships as they slipped to 57-3.
But Brodrick provided a solid foundation as he struck 61 from 50 balls to move the score to 198 before he became the seventh wicket to fall.
But Ryan Elliott's unbeaten 24 steered the Hammers past the total with three wickets to spare.
