One of Canada’s finest vocal harmony groups is coming to Lichfield.
The Flamingo Tea Rooms on Tamworth Street will welcome Finest Kind on August 1 at 8pm.
Made up of Ian Robb, Ann Downey, Shelley Posen and James Stephens, the group perform a set featuring songs from the English tradition, country gems, Appalachian classics and self-penned numbers
A spokesperson said: “This remarkable band will be playing at three major music festivals on this short tour, Warwick, Sidmouth, and Nottingham Riverside, alongside several other concert appearances.
“Finest Kind have a devoted following across North America, and over the past four years has built up a huge following on the national folk scene here in Britain.
“They bring a fresh sense of excitement and discovery to the performance of old songs, all served up with easy going humour, glorious harmonies, superb musicianship, and a very entertaining programme.”
