Chance for Armitage and Handsacre residents to find out more about welfare reforms

Published:

A drop in session is taking place for residents in Handsacre and Armitage to find out how to cope with welfare reforms.

The free event will take place at Handsacre Methodist Church on Thursday (May 23) between 10am and noon.

Advice will also be available about searching for a job, with details of nearby work clubs, improving your CV and upcoming training courses.

Councillor Colin Greatorex said: “This drop-in session is a good opportunity to meet with a representative from the partner organisations and discuss issues around benefits and employment.

“So, if you’re worried about the future and how you are going to manage, come along to this session and we’ll do our best to point you in the right direction of help and support.”
