Chance for Burntwood shoppers to explore their artistic side

Published:

Burntwood shoppers will be asked to show some creative flair at an art event in the town.

The Big Draw event on Saturday (October 23) will see three artists helping passers-by to create a range of art outside the Tesco Metro store.

From 10.30am to 4pm, the free event will show people how to draw with tape and how to create art without using their hands. They will also be creating a giant Monopoly board game based on Burntwood’s streets.

Celia Houghton, Lichfield District Council’s arts development officer, said:

“Join me and fellow artists, Clair Rushton and Henrietta Ellis, to have a go at different artistic styles. It’s totally free, and will be great fun for all the family.”
