LICHFIELD'S Finlay Lines enjoyed success at Silverstone in the final round of the 2026 Junior X30 British Kart Championship.
Victory in both finals ensured a third-place finish in the final standings.
Lines showed strong pace from the off in the opening session, qualifying fifth before producing two consistent heat performances to finish fifth and third.
A strong drive in the first final, following the correct late tyre call to wets, saw him take the chequered flag at the head of the field to give his hopes of a top-three finish in the championship a boost going into the second day.
The next qualifying run saw him finish third overall – a feat he then repeated in both heats.
The second final would prove to be another close contest though. Starting on pole, Lines once again kept his composure under pressure. In a thrilling finish, he crossed the line just 0.076 seconds ahead of Danny Dempsey to claim his second victory of the weekend.
