A LOCAL derby a long time in the making will take place on Bank Holiday Monday.
Chasetown will welcome near neighbours Lichfield City for the Northern Premier League West Division encounter this afternoon (31st August).
It is the first time the two sides have met in a league encounter since 1983.
Both sides are still looking for a first win in the league, but the Scholars have collected two draws from their three games.
Matty Lovatt's Lichfield have found the going tough though, losing all four of their encounters so far, conceding 17 goals in the process.
City's form has also carried over into knockout competitions where they have lost 6-0 and 5-0 in the FA Cup and FA Trophy respectively.
Chasetown, meanwhile, fell to defeat in the FA Cup at Boldmere, but produced a fine performance to beat AFC Rushden and Diamonds in the FA Trophy at the weekend.
Kick-off is at 3pm. Admission is £12 adults, £8 concessions and £5 under 18s. Under 10s go free with a paying adult.
