Chasetown FC might have seen yet another fixture postponed but that hasn’t stopped manager Charlie Blakemore from extending the loan of Richard Davies.
With around two inches of snow covering Hucknall Town’s Watnall Road pitch, the postponement was the third successive call-off for the Scholars.
However, there was some good news as defender Davies’ loan period from AFC Telford United has been extended until January 3, allowing him to play in next weekend’s FA Trophy clash with Kettering Town.
Davies said he has settled in well at the Scholars Ground and enjoys a good rapport with his new team-mates, and also reported that the side have still been training regularly despite their lack of matches.
