Chasetown’s fine run of form came to an end at the hands of league leaders Stafford Town.
The hosts started well as Jodie Kinsey had a good shot well saved by Lauren Turner in the Stafford goal.
The early pressure got a deserved goal as a well taken corner by Kinsey was turned in by Jade Arber.
Unfortunately the extra quality that Stafford possessed turned into goals and they led 3-1 at half time.
Chasetown were forced into changes at the break but this did not hinder a good second half performance bwith good chances being created.
The visitors scored a further two goals to move into a comfortable 5-1, lead until a good through ball by Charlotte Bull enabled Sinead Treanor to race clear of the defence and round the keeper for a consolation goal.
Chasetown’s player of the match award went to Sarah Thompson.
