CHASETOWN picked up a point as they fought back from two goals down at Kidsgrove Athletic.
The Scholars got off to a slow start and found themselves behind after just a minute when Nat Morley’s neat finish got the better of Curtis Pond.
The Kidsgrove lead was doubled on 18 minutes when clever work out wide allowed Morley the opportunity to fire into the bottom corner for 2-0.
Chasetown finally got going and managed to halve the deficit on the stroke of half time when Mitch Clarke tucked home after a deep cross into the far post area.
The Scholars were level five minutes into the second half courtesy of a good header from Luke Yates.
Neither side managed to create much in the way of clear-cut chances in the second period as the spoils were shared.
