CHASETOWN picked up a point at Witton Albion on the opening day of the season.
The Scholars got off to a bright start and went close to an early goal when George Cater’s cross was tipped away by the fingertips of home keeper Cameron Terry.
Both sides struggled to carve out clear-cut chances in the opening 45 minutes.
