A LOCAL church is inviting people to join a programme of physical and mental wellbeing activities.

St Anne’s Church, in Chasetown, hosts a range of sessions, including wellbeing walks, buggy walks for babies and toddlers, community gardening, art workshops and free counselling as part of the Wellbeing Works Project, which is part-funded by Burntwood Town Council and the Coalfields Regeneration Trust.

A spokesperson for the church said:

“As new year thoughts turn to health and fitness, we are keen to highlight the programme of physical and mental wellbeing activities.

“These activities are designed to support mental as well as physical health. Further mental wellbeing events include Place of Welcome Community Cafe on Thursdays from 11am to 1pm and Men’s Dry Pub on Thursdays at 2pm, both of which offer the chance to gather and chat over refreshments.

“Winter can be an especially lonely time, so everyone is welcome to come along to St Anne’s and join our friendly community, offering help and hope to all.”

Full details of the range of sessions on offer as well as dates and times can be found on the St Anne’s Church website.
