Collection of coins fetches more than £61,000 at auction in Lichfield

Single owner collection went under the hammer at Richard Winterton Auctioneers.

A COLLECTION of coins has sold for £61,315 at an auction in Lichfield.

They were split between 40 lots at the Richard Winterton Auctioneers sale.

The collection, from a single owner, included a King Charles III 2023 cased five-coin set that went for £6,000, a Queen Elizabeth II 2022 Our Sovereign Remembered proof five-coin sovereign set in original presentation case which sold for £5,000, and a 2023 A New Era proof gold five-coin angel set which fetched £4,600.
