RESIDENTS have been given a first glimpse of a how a new health centre in Burntwood could look as a consultation on the development gets underway.

The scheme has been earmarked for the site of the town’s former youth centre on Cherry Close.

The project would also include a care home and sports pitches.

People are now being asked for their views ahead of a formal planning application being submitted.

Cllr Sean Bagguley, Staffordshire County Council’s cabinet member for finance and Resources, said:

“Now that the health centre plans have been drawn up we are moving as quickly as we can on behalf of the NHS.

“Despite the urgency to deliver this much-anticipated community asset, it’s important we follow the correct process and we hope everyone who has an interest in this project will take a moment to share their views.”

Feedback can be submitted until 14th May at www.knightsplc.com/burntwood-health-centre. Comments can also be made by emailing matthew.wedderburn@knightsplc.com.
