OPTIONS are being explored for future use of the boathouse at Stowe Pool.
Councillors were told at a recent meeting of Lichfield District Council that conversations were taking place over the facility.
Cllr Russ Bragger, Labour representative for Stowe ward, had asked for an update on when work would start on the boathouse.
Cllr Janice Silvester-Hall, cabinet member for the visitor economy, biodiversity and climate change, said:
“We’ve had surveys and other information done in place and the funding is allocated to be able to go ahead and do that.
“It’s one of those things where we are having conversations among the cabinet about the importance of iconic assets such as Stowe Pool boathouse.
“It’s amazing how many people have a glance as they go past. It’s clear that a high volume of people have a vested interest.”
