A DEDICATION ceremony will take place next month for a new memorial to remember veterans and members of the armed forces who have died by suicide.

It will take place at the National Memorial Arboretum at 11am on 13th September.

The Elysium Memorial is designed to provide a dedicated place for families, friends and colleagues to remember their loved ones and reflect.

It has been developed by the Elysium Memorial Foundation. A spokesperson said:

"Our ongoing mission is to reduce the risk of suicide by raising awareness of the complexities of mental health faced by those who have served or are still serving."

The service will feature speeches, a piper, and prayers before a wreath-laying ceremony.
