LICHFIELD City Women suffered defeat in their opening league fixture.
They welcomed Coundon Court to the Trade Tyre Community Stadium, but found themselves behind when Sophie Shale opened the scoring after 20 minutes.
Shale then doubled her advantage on the stroke of half-time.
Olivia Lloyd pulled one back for City on her debut early in the second half, but Lichfield could not find the elusive leveller.
