A LICHFIELD headteacher has bid farewell to a school he has “loved” working at.
Matt Allman left The Friary School at the end of the term to take up a senior role with the Primitas Learning Partnership.
His departure comes after ten years at the school and will see him replaced by Mark Drury when the new term starts on 5th January.
He said:
“I have loved working at the school and will only take away good memories.
“The school team has been so good to me – and my own children who have attended it – and I owe a great debt to all the colleagues, students, parents and community members who have backed up what we do and helped make our school so very, very successful.
“Mr Drury is a former colleague I admire and a genuine and caring person, so I am sure the school will only improve further.”
