A BUILDER says a new housing scheme will see a £9million investment in the local community.
The planning agreement for the Curborough Fields development off Watery Lane will see Barratt Redrow build 203 new homes.
It also means a £9,154,050 contribution towards local transport, schools and affordable housing projects.
Adrian Evans, managing director at Barratt Redrow, said:
"Through these contributions, we hope to foster a connection between the new and existing residents of Lichfield and create a wonderful community at Curborough Fields that is supported by public infrastructure.

From the funding agreement, a £495,000 investment will be made to support local bus services, while £485,000 is set aside to support improvements at the Trent Valley island junction. A £4.2million contribution is earmarked for school places.
The developer said a £4million Community Infrastructure Levy payment will also paid in order to allow for funding to be allocated by councils to relevant schemes.
