A Domino’s Pizza outlet is set to open in Burntwood after planning chiefs gave the proposals the thumbs-up.

The former Chase Chef at 269 High Street, Chasetown, will now be converted into new premises for the national food chain.

In a statement to planning bosses, the pizza firm said:

“The unit has been vacant for some time and Dominos would introduce a high level of investment to the site by refurbishing the unit and creating an operation that would provide employment and a service locally.”

No date has yet been given for when the store will open, but when it does it will become one of 550 operated by the chain across the UK.

Full details of the scheme can be found on Lichfield District Council’s website.
